Who can use HappyChatty's numbers?

As long as you are in the UK, you can use our service. These numbers are not accessible from overseas.

How can you charge these low prices?

When you call overseas with HappyChatty, we re-route your call through the HappyChatty Internet Network (HCIN) so we, and you, don't have to pay to use BT's network. And that's how we can charge you these cheap overseas call rates!

It's also why the service still operates even if your phone has international call barring in place. The phone doesn't recognise that you're making an overseas call!

How do I get billed for the calls I make?

There are no prepayments. The call cost is added to your normal phone providers bill. We do not send you any bills.

Is there a connection charge as well as the pence per minute?

We do not impose a connection fee to connect you to our HappyChatty access numbers, however if you're usual call provider charges you a minimum call set-up fee then that will apply as normal.

Is there a catch?

NO! There is no account to set up, no pre-payments, and no connection fees. Just the pence per minute stated.

Simply Select a country from the drop down lost on the left, hit GO! and follow the onscreen instructions.

How can I store the numbers on my phone and use ONE TOUCH DIALLING?

You can save the numbers in your phone, and use one touch dialling by following these instructions:

Firstly enter the HappyChatty access number you wish to use, then depending on your phone, you will need to add a 'pause' to the number:

Nokia Insert a pause by pressing the * key three times ( showing a 'P' )

Sony Ericcson & Samsung Insert a pause by holding the * key

IPhone Insert a pause by holding the * key at the lower left of the screen ( showing a comma ', ' )

Blackberry Press the trackball and select 'add pause'

Siemens and Panasonic Insert a pause by pressing and holding the '0' key ( showing a '+' )

Phillips Insert a pause by holding the # key ( showing a 'w' )
 

Then enter the destination number you wish to call including the full international code e.g. 0844 759 7778 p 004 123 **** **** and then save it into your phone. 

What's the cost of calling HappyChatty access numbers?

It depends on where you are calling. It is usually 1p a minute, but few destinations can be up to 30p. Below is a table with all our access numbers and costs. Alternatively, pick a country from the drop-down list on the left, or browse a table with all countries and corresponding numbers.

Call charges from mobile phones may vary. Please check the cost of calling with your mobile provider. (However It's still really cheap!)

Any calls using our service will be billed by your usual phone service provider to the account holder for that line. Please obtain permission from that account holder before using the service. Calls are charged from the time you are connected to the service. For a BT line the rates are available on their website, other service providers may charge a higher rate, please contact your service provider for further details. We reserve the right to terminate any call if we consider it is being made unlawfully or fraudulently. The service is subject to availability.
